The Red Sox and Other Entertainments

To fully experience Boston you really do have to go to a bar and watch the Sox play. Liz and I went to some Irish bar, that wasn't jam packed with people because they only served booze (not food). We met two fine fellows from Boston - Brian and Jeff, who were are volunteer tourguides to the Sox-mania. We watched the Sox pretty much overwhelm the Cleveland Indians and make it to the World Series. Talk about crazed fans! Some guy in the bar was jigging with happiness~when's the last time you saw a grown man dance a jig? Been awhile for me!

Here's a pic of Brian and Jeff goofing off and pretending to be Park Rangers....

We also saw the Blue Men...after all these years! They really are as cool as everyone says!

One day we went out to Harvard and saw crew boats racing on the Charles River. It felt very English...which is why they call it New England :)

This cow was also at the Rowing Regatta, it was an advertising gimmick for an ice cream.

Great pictures, Shannon. It was fantastic to have you over. And it was a perfect excuse to get out and see the sights. Thank you for coming to visit!
